Student Sports Club “Piątka”
UKS “Piątka” Zgierz was established in 1994.
Outstanding UKS alumni: Justyna Mospinek (Olympian from Athens and Beijing, winner of the 2008 World Cup, for many years a leading archer on the world ranking lists), Sylwia Szymańska (two-time participant of the Junior World Championships), Maciej Szymański (participant of the Junior World Indoor Championships), Radosław Musoski (bronze medalist of the European Junior Championships).
Coaches: Anna and Wojciech Szymańscy.
On April 28, 2005, the Zgierz City Council (resolution No. XXXIII/297/05) awarded the honorary title of “Meritorious for the City of Zgierz” to Justyna Mospinek and Wojciech Szymański.
In 2005, coaches Anna and Wojciech Szymańscy were honored with the Silver Crosses of Merit, while the Bronze Cross of Merit was awarded to Justyna Mospinek.
Students’ Sports Club “PIĄTKA” was established on November 24, 1994. It was established on the basis of the School Sports Club at Primary School No. 5. The club’s most outstanding athlete is the Zgierz Olympian Justyna Mospinek.
Classes are held in the archery hall and on the MOSiR archery tracks.
