The Gymnastic Society “Sokół” Zgierz

The Gymnastic Society “SOKÓŁ” in Zgierz was established in 1907. It based its activity on the assumptions of the Polish Falconry movement established in 1867 in Lviv. Until 1939 the “Zgierz Falcon” was a significant sport-patriotic organisation in our city. It brought together young and old, who found the possibility of physical and spiritual development under its banner. physical and spiritual development, referring with respect to Polish tradition and national patriotism.
